Optimising roof-space for huge grid supply offset

GOS Tool & Engineering consulted The Logical Group (TLG) to design, spec and install a Solar solution optimised for the roof-space of their Blaenavon, Wales based HQ.

Advice from the TLG meant that a 150kW solar PV system was fitted, expected to achieve a yield of circa 130 mWh annually. This has displaced around 20% of GOS’ grid supply requirement and stage 2 to be fitted in the Autumn of 2023 will offset a further 20%. Equally important is the carbon offset which equates to approximately 24t/year rising to circa 48t once phase 2 is completed.

TLG used the latest technologies to give real time performance reporting helping GOS track their results financially and to record their carbon reduction. The system is performance guaranteed for 25 years and gives a full ROI in less than 3.5 years.
