Biomass Heating Systems
Biomass is a genuinely green technology and it’s not going to run out.
With 20 years of Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) funding available, you’ll be paid for every kilowatt of heat that you generate.
What is the Non-Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI)?
The UK Government has introduced the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI). If eligible, the Non-Domestic RHI offers subsidies, payable for 20 years, for the renewable heat that your business system produces. The Non-Domestic RHI closes to new applications on 31 March 2021, so time is running out to receive this incentive
Why would Biomass be considered to be better than a Fossil Fuel?
Biomass is the ideal fuel for a carbon-neutral solution. It’s both sustainable and renewable, it’s clean and easy to handle, and is cost-effective with no reliance on fossil fuels.
The CO2 emitted from wood pellets is equal to, or less, than that absorbed by the tree during its natural growth.

Heating with pellets helps reduce the greenhouse effect and CO2 emissions. The compacted wood pellets contain low levels of sulfur dioxide and are carbon neutral when burned.
Unlike fossil fuels, such as gas or oil, wood pellets do not exacerbate the greenhouse effect. Wood is a renewable raw material and readily available. The fuel quality must be consistent.
For this reason, pellets are required to conform to strict international criteria. Wood pellets do have another benefit. they are economic and have enjoyed price stability for many years. This is why pellets are the perfect alternative to fossil fuels.
