Energy Efficient Heating Systems

It’s been several years since Government grants were introduced to encourage renewable energy installations. Now that they’ve stabilised, the good news is you’ll only find specialists remaining in a highly regulated marketplace. However many of these experts specialise in just one solution – be it air source, biomass or gas – and all too often they’ll recommend the option they’re tied to even if it’s not in your best interests.

With Logical Energy Consultants, we’ll help you make the most of Government schemes like the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI), while offering impartial advice on what technology is optimal for your organisation.

It may be that sticking with what you’ve got is the best option. There are major savings to be made when using natural gas too – you can almost halve your bills by replacing an old boiler which is only operating at 60% efficiency, or by upgrading your control systems to maximise efficiencies. We’ll recommend that as an option if it suits you best.

Biomass

Biomass is a genuinely green technology and it’s not going to run out. With 20 years of RHI funding available, you’ll be paid for every kilowatt of heat that you generate.

Air Source

Ideal for highly rated, energy efficient buildings, when correctly specified air source is a fantastic method of heating a space, absorbing heat from the outside air and using it to power radiators, underfloor heating systems, convectors or hot water.

Gas

Regulations state that the modern generation of gas boilers have to be 95% energy efficient. You may not know that, if you have an aging boiler of around 15 years – as many of them are – then it’s most likely around 60% efficient at best.
